2Bampod Texas Scramble in aid of Rainbow Rogues

The 2BAMPOD Texas Scramble comes to Turriff Golf Club on 23rd May 2025, marking five years since the podcast’s launch.

This exciting event is not just about golf – it’s about giving back to the community by raising vital funds for Rainbow Rogues, a local charity that provides essential support to families of pre-school children with additional support needs and disabilities across North East Scotland.

Rainbow Rogues offers a safe and inclusive environment where children can develop through play while giving parents and carers much-needed respite and support. Their services include weekly play sessions, one-to-one support, and a range of activities that help children and families feel empowered and connected.

The Texas Scramble will feature teams of four competing for top prizes, with a £360 team entry fee covering coffee and a bacon roll on arrival, 18 holes of golf at one of the North East's finest parkland courses, followed by a 2-course meal prepared by renowned in-house caterer Fairways @ Kastille.

The day will conclude with a prize-giving ceremony and a lively disco hosted by Guys from the podcast.

With all hole sponsorships already filled and Barratt Homes stepping up as the main sponsor, the event promises to be a fantastic day of golf, fun, and fundraising for a truly remarkable cause.

On The Day

Texas Scramble Format

The Texas Scramble is a fun and team-oriented format that encourages collaboration and strategy. Here’s how it works:

✅ Teams:

  • Each team consists of four players.

✅ Tee Off:

  • All players tee off at each hole.

✅ Choose the Best Shot:

  • The team selects the best shot from the four tee shots.

  • All players then play their next shot from that chosen position.

✅ Continue Play:

  • This process repeats after each shot until the ball is holed.

  • Each team records one score per hole.

✅ Minimum Tee Shots Rule :

  • Each Team Member requires 4 Tee Shots each

  • Each Team Member requires One of the 4 Tee Shots at a Par 3.

✅ Scoring:

  • The team’s total score is recorded and the lowest score wins.

  • Ties can be broken by a countback system if necessary.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Happens if a Team Member doesn't have a Handicap ?

Not to worry if a Team Memeber does not have a Handicap. We will be working a MAX HCP of 18 for Team Member who do not hold an official Handicap.

What all included in our Team Fee's ?

When you arrive you will be greated by a Bacon Roll and Cup of Tea or Coffee served by Fairways Team, You will then Enjoy 18 Holes of Golf arounf Turriff Golf Club Parkland course. Followed by a 2 Course meal again served by The Fairways @Kastille Team. Free Entry to the Evening Entertainment is also included if you wish to join the Lads in a few Jars.
